Resident Engineer
Job Title: Resident EngineerJob Description Our water professionals work with clients to restore and sustain water resources across the world. Responsibilities + Manage daily onsite communication with the client + Manage the construction of a new $25 million facility + Coordinate and work alongside contractors on site + Maintain the old operating treatment plant while the new one is being built + Subcontractor management and coordination + Maintain project budget + Review plans and specifications to ensure the project remains on schedule + Handle RFIs and change orders Essential Skills + 10+ years in Construction/Resident Engineering Position + Strong knowledge of wastewater construction + Ability to manage a $25 million project independently + Experience in project coordination + Budget management skills + Ability to maintain project schedule Additional Skills & Qualifications + Knowledge of utility construction + Construction management experience + Project management skills + Experience with generators and electrical systems + Construction oversight + Resident engineering experience + Nice to have: PE license Work Environment The project is a two-year job located in West Milford, NJ, involving a small wastewater plant upgrade. The plant needs to continue running while it is being upgraded. The project includes replacing the Bald Eagle Village and Birch Hill Wastewater Treatment Plants with two new MBR plants. The typical construction schedule is from 7 AM to 3:30 PM. You will be sitting on-site in a trailer and will be the sole employee managing the project. The work environment includes maintaining the existing plant's operations while the new facility is being constructed, alongside handling a pump station on the adjacent site. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $80.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
