Under supervision of the Program Director, the Resident Monitor is responsible for providing after hours coverage, support, and crisis intervention to tenants/guests/staff at Mosholu Gardens.  The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities as defined by the ADA to perform the essential functions of the job. The salary is $40K/Year. KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:                                                                                                                             Ensure the safety of the facility and the tenantsensure tenants are in basic adherence with Rules and Regulations, provide mild interventions, keep staff up to date to provide higher level interventionsProvide all tenant information and daily report logs requested in a timely and accurate mannerEnsure facilities are maintained and repairs are followed up with to create a positive environment of care.  This includes ensuring the staff areas and common areas are cleaned and organized and trash is emptied. Work orders to be forwarded to appropriate personsMonitor the facilities, staff and tenants to ensure that all after hours operations are within the Acacia expectations, regulations and contractual obligationsProvide on-site crisis interventionMaintains appropriate documentation of all tenants contacts in logHandle special assignments, duties and functions as assignedHouse Runs - regular presence in the lobby and on the residential floorsMaintains notes on approved tenant meetings held in conference room after hoursAssist tenants with laundry, shopping, appointments, if needed and directed by supervisorEnsure laundry room is closed/opened at appropriate hoursActs as liaison between participants, superintendents and building managers to ensure all emergency repairs are reportedMaintains a Resident Monitor Log, which includes tenant/guest activity and facility observationsReports all non-compliance issues with respect to the tenants, guests, apartments and building to the Supportive Housing Manager or On-Call Staff, including incidents requiring immediate attention REQUIREMENTS:                                                                                                                                                   The shifts are 4-12am and 12-8amHigh School Diploma/GED required, Associates Degree preferredBi-lingual (English/Spanish), preferredTwo (2+) years previous relevant experience in a Mental or Behavioral Health environment Preferred.Ability to use business acumen to exercise good judgment and decision-makingAbility to deal with sensitive issues with diplomacy and discretionMust be able to multi task with strong organizational skillsExcellent interpersonal skills and able to communicate both verbally and in written formCommitment to cultural diversity and sensitivityAbility to maintain a professional demeanor under pressure, and operate with a keen sense of urgency and commitment to quality
