Resident Physical Therapist

Description:Replacement for PT Resident (Bobby Show) that will be ending his contract on 12/27/2024

Position Purpose:

Physical Therapist Resident - Is a post-graduate physical therapist participating in a clinical residency with our outpatient rehab department. The Resident practices in collaboration with other members of the health care team and demonstrates respectful interactions with patients/clients, colleagues, and others.

What you will do:

*Implements physical therapy treatments including therapeutic exercise, physical
agents, manual therapy and wound care management. Instructs in functional activities including gait and transfer training. Provides patient education.

*Documents information in patient charts. Completes charge entries.

*Initiates communication with physicians and other professionals to ensure coordination of treatment efforts. Contacts family members and outside agents.


*Maintains ongoing communication with immediate Supervisor, subordinates, and peers

Minimum Qualifications:

 * Registered Physical Therapist in the State of Florida required.
* Preferred: Doctor of Physical Therapy and Manual Therapy Certification
* Current CPR is required
