Step into Your New Role

Kleinfelder has the position of Construction Observer / Resident Project Representative (Field Position) available for a qualified individual with field observation experience and a passion for infrastructure construction projects.

This role serves as the liaison between Kleinfelder’s Project Team, the General contractor, and the Owner. The individual must have strong communication and technical skills to make clarifications in the field while work is being completed.

Must have a fundamental understanding of contracts and familiarity with codes and laws governing construction.Must possess the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications and identify discrepancies or conflicts within documents.Must be able to work in a team environment.Complete and maintain records of field observations, including daily reports outlining the work performed, as well as field measurements and computations for the quantity of completed work eligible for payment.Good interpersonal and communications skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Basic knowledge or ability to gain working knowledge of quality requirements for construction materials.Tactful Valid Driver’s LicenseWork will be on-site (general disclaimer about safety requirements and hazard exposure)

Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Associate degree or equivalent to include courses in related work type preferred.

Experience: 0 – 3 years in the field or in trade-related training in a design, construction inspection, construction materials engineering/testing, or other construction related field.

 

Projects typically will be within a 60-mile Radius of Bowling Green, Ohio and will include water and wastewater utility and treatment plant projects as well as storm sewer and roadway construction.
