Mission
Facilitating the development and understanding of Respectful, Responsible, and Reasonable behaviors is the primary role of the support staff; this is done through a non-judgmental and supportive manner always keeping the individual’s dignity in the forefront.
Objective
The intention of the TCIP program is to provide the highest quality rehabilitative programming for individuals with Intellectual Disabilities, by finding their strengths, recognizing their trauma history and utilizing three R’s (Respect, Responsible, and Reasonable) throughout the programming.
Programmatic Details
The Berkshire Residential Homes health and safety pillars are Respect, Responsible, and Reasonable. Deficiencies in these areas have been identified as primary obstacles for many of the people supported under the Public Safety umbrella in the Berkshire Residential Homes. Therefore, skill building and development in these areas are paramount to improving the quality of life for the individuals we support. The residential staff at Berkshire role model behavior that is respectful, responsible, and reasonable both in the home and in the community.
Facilitating the development and understanding of Respectful, Responsible, and Reasonable behavior is the primary role of support staff. Residents face the challenges of their daily life in a structured, supportive, and therapeutic environment. Staff approaches every challenge with the resident in a non-judgmental and supportive manner; one of the primary goals is to preserve the individual’s dignity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Required to attend and participate in inter-agency meetings regarding adults in Behavioral Interventionist’s care. As necessary, responsible for collaborating with service coordinators, administrators, family, and appropriate service providers regarding implementation of Individual Support Agreement (ISA). Timely and accurate documentation of services provided that help consumers to attain goals, and support outcomes, and expectations. Availability for transportation as needed, to and from community events at the hours of expected events, including but not limited to, medical appointments, or other service coordination needs. Availability for supervision once a week at NCSS. Attendance at staff meetings is required. Participation in trainings and workshops focused on enhancing client’s identified objectives and experiences, while focusing on the ISA goals, outcomes, and needs. Hours of work are driven by the needs of the client being served. Willing to participate in client specific trainings, track data, review and implement behavioral programming, and follow client specific protocols. Flexibility is a must to accommodate the needs of any individual accessing the home. Clients’ needs are always changing.Minimum Requirements:
