Job Summary:

The ACCS Outreach (Residential Counselor I) assists Persons Served in need of psychiatric services acquire the skills necessary to live independently in the community. They work within the agency's team model, establishing open communication, support and accountability among co-workers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provides crisis intervention Adheres to program policy and procedure manual Participates in team approach, sharing responsibility for Person's services Notifies supervisory staff immediately in the event of a crisis, suspected illegal activity, or any behavior constituting an incident in the program Assists clients with activities of daily living e.g. personal hygiene, meal preparation, housekeeping, laundry, money management, etc Transports clients in matters related to service delivery, e.g. medical appointment, shopping, job interview, vocational program, banking, laundry Administer medication accordance with MAP policies and procedures Deals with entry and termination issues Provides for and participates in clients treatment plans Interacts with clients in order to assess needs, provide information, discuss problems, identify patterns and stressors, and encourage growth and development

Minimum Qualifications:

At least one year experience working with population preferred High School diploma
