Residential Counselor Supervisor 2nd Shift (3P-11:30P)

Monday & Friday EOW Days Off

Residential Program located at a Virtua facility at 1000 Atlantic Avenue Camden

Population: Adolescents

$56,160 (including shift differential)

Tuition reimbursement available

 

Must have:

A bachelor’s degreeA valid driver’s licenseAt least a year of experience with adolescents in behavioral and mental healthSupervisor experience required

 

Responsible for the direct supervision and leadership of Behavioral Care Specialists working in an Intense Residential Treatment Program on a designated shift.

Responsibilities Creates and maintains the daily Shift Assignment Sheet.Assigns times for staff meal breaks to ensure adequate coverage to maintain the appropriate ratio of staff to resident.Makes necessary adjustments to the Shift Assignment Sheet and/or daily shift schedule to accommodate for emergencies and/or changing circumstances in the unit.Conducts “rounds” at the beginning of each shift and documents all appropriate information.Ensures that proper telephone and visitor clearances are followed allowing residents to have access to these contacts. Inspect the log book and any other paperwork generated by activities held during the designated shift. This includes Point Sheets, Behavior Observation Forms, Critical incident Forms, Safe Room Forms and Restraint Forms.   Prior to the start of the next shift, compiles information for a Shift Summary Report to document the happenings during the shift. Provides direct care and supervision to residents when necessary.Must personally respond to any situation involving a behavioral escalation or physical restraints to assist and provide oversight.Contact the Program Director or Assistant Program Director/BCS Manager in the event of an emergency.           Al other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field with at least one year experience working with children with severe behavioral health care problems, preferably in a residential setting. At least 2 years of supervisor experience.
