Residential Counselor (Women and Children Program)- Part Time

With the belief that they were there when we needed them, so we must be there now that they need us, Veterans Inc. is the largest provider of supportive services to Veterans and their families in New England. We are seeking to fill Residential Counselor positions and add valuable members to our team to accomplish our mission!

This individual would be part of a 24\/7 team responsible for the safety and welfare of up to 16 females and their children and residing in our Transitional Care Facility. This program is uniquely able to admit civilians and veterans. The individuals can reside in the program for up to two years but the typical stay is less than 12 months, and in some cases, residents are able to stay permanently after graduating from the transitional program. \n

We are currently hiring for per diem and part time, Fri\/Sat 3rd shift (11pm-7am), and Sat\/Sun 2nd Shift (3pm-11pm).\n

$20.00 Base Rate with $2 shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts.\n

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DAY TO DAY:\n\nDevelops and maintains positive relationships with the clients, staff volunteers and visitors.\nMaintains resident safety and confidentiality. Utilize the wand to check all bags as residents enter the facility; administering breathalyzer and random drug tests to all clients; and forward incoming calls for residents.\nPrepares and submits detailed shift and incident reports of all activities, incidents and emergencies that occur during shift.\nMaintains safety and security of the building, company vehicles, and all Veterans Inc. property on site.\nFirst responder for client-related emergencies, RC are trained in CPR, First Aid, and Narcan administration.\nOther special projects and duties as assigned.\n\n

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE:\n\nMinimum of high school diploma or equivalent.\nMinimum of one (1) year experience working in direct care services, residential or security.\nMust be able to successfully pass a CORI\/Background records check.\nCompliance with Veterans Inc. COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. Religious and Medical Exemptions are considered.\nMust be willing to submit to and successfully pass a drug test.\n\n
