**Job Title: Property Maintenance Technician**
**Job Description**
We are looking for a dedicated Property Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position works Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. After a six-month contract, the role will include on-call responsibilities on a rotating basis of 1-2 weeks per month. Reliable transportation is required, and you must live within 30 minutes of the property. The Maintenance Mechanic will work directly under the maintenance supervisor to service all 380 units of our apartment complex, primarily managing resident repair requests for minor issues and appliances.
**Responsibilities**
+ Manage and address maintenance tickets requested by residents.
+ Perform minor repairs on small kitchen appliances such as refrigerators, washing machines, and toilets.
+ Install new sinks, snake drains to clear clogs, and repair light bulbs in appliances.
+ Diagnose appliance issues to determine if repairs can be done on the spot or if a subcontractor is needed.
+ Assist the Lead Mechanic with larger facility projects between immediate repair requests.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with sheetrock and drywall installation.
+ Proficiency in preventative and corrective maintenance.
+ Skills in property maintenance and repair.
+ Ability to perform light plumbing tasks.
+ Experience in diagnosing and repairing small appliances.
+ Mechanical aptitude and experience.

**Work Environment**
The work environment involves managing maintenance requests in a large apartment complex. You will be required to have reliable transportation and be on call after a six-month contract on a rotating basis. The position requires mechanical aptitude and experience with sheetrock and drywall.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of Manchester, Connecticut.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
