Establish positive working relationships with all employees and fostering an interdisciplinary approach. Responsible for the supervision of all assigned employees at the PRTF and acts as chairperson of Program Planning Committees and program teams. Will ensure compliance with all regulations and standards related to resident program management. Responsible for ensuring that the interdisciplinary team produces a positive and individualized therapeutic environment. Evaluation of program activities and staff engagement across shifts are key responsibilities. Ensures compliance to federal, state, and local licensing and accreditation regulations/standards. Has an acute awareness/knowledge of all facility policies and procedures. Supervises and directs all assigned employees in the program including, Program Supervisors, Behavioral Support Staff (BSS), Direct Support Staff, Housekeeping, etc. Ensures that all residents assigned to the PRTF receive required programming and participate regularly in leisure time activities. Responsible for the development and implementation of program goals and objectives which are consistent with the overall goals of the facility. Responsible for annual and other specific performance evaluations, reviews of employees of the PRTF and conduct joint reviews with other departmental directors/supervisors where appropriate. Responsible for hiring, monitoring performance and disciplining designated employees assigned to the program in conjunction with the Human Resources Department. Attends unemployment hearings for designated employees. Schedules and conducts meetings for all shifts, including third shift, at least once a month. Participating member of interdisciplinary team for development, implementation, evaluation and monitoring of individual client treatment Confers with education/vocational/recreational/clinical/residential and other supportive employees regularly to review client progress. Maintains professional/ethical relationships with parents/relatives and agencies. Shares with families/representatives and funding agencies, information on the client’s adjustment, changes in program and unusual incidents via telephone, letter or visit to Woods Services and documents all contacts in writing. Ensures adequate employee coverage to meet minimum staffing ratio requirements in units and program areas. Responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation on ongoing in-service training programs for employees Plans and implements unit(s) activities within an approved budget. Conducts regular observation of the PRTF facility and reports any necessary repairs/deficiencies including any scheduled preventative maintenance needs in a timely fashion. Prepares annual budget request. Submits requisitions for equipment and supplies necessary to operate the unit(s) in an efficient manner. Responsible for all pertinent documentation of unit(s) affairs/issues and ensures maintenance of permanent client records. Ensure compliance to all regulations/standards which govern Woods Services. Develops/maintain an accountability system for monitoring petty cash and client expenditures. Works varied hour including every fourth weekend to ensure visibility across shifts. Participates on assigned committees and attends scheduled meetings. Maintains professional and collaborative working relationships with staff at all levels of the organization. Performs other duties as assigned. Bachelor’s degree, in Psychology or related field, from an accredited college or university, two years of relevant experience working with persons with intellectual disability and two years’ experience in a management of supervisory capacity, Master’s degree preferred. Valid driver’s license and vehicle required. Must be able to read, write, enter dates, and follow verbal/written directs, prepare written reports and complete written forms in English. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, be agile, physically pursue clients on foot, physically restrain (with appropriate training), bend, squat, reach, push up and stand for several hours at a time. Must be able to verbally communicate in English and direct clients, respond to clients’ needs. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required. Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
