This position will support the R&D and Innovation function within the residential roofing business.  The co-op will work with scientists and manager(s) and be a part of the residential product technology team.  The co-op will have the opportunity to learn, contribute and develop leadership skills.    

Essential Duties: 

Safety oriented. Keeps safety in the forefront while carrying out all job activities

Investigate and evaluate new technologies. 

Independent judgment in implementing new work methods 

Design and perform experiments 

Observe and evaluate technology trends and build up an excellent network internally and externally.

Designing, analyzing and testing products for development across platforms

Performs experiments with minimum to no supervision, interprets and evaluates data, contributes to written reports 

Develop IP for new products or new technologies to ensure successful product launch

Under This Roof, We Require 

The ideal candidate for this role is majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Material Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Architectural Engineering, or Building Science.  Junior or Seniors-only.

Candidates with experiences related to lab environment are preferred 

Ability to travel and visit plants or customer sites as needed (10% time)
