We are looking for a Residential Program Counselor (IDS) to join our dynamic and growing team. The successful candidate will report to the Site Manager (IDS) and be a vital member of the treatment team.

Job Responsibilities:
+ The responsibilities are therapeutic in function including but not limited to:
+ The primary provider of a therapeutic environment for the treatment of IDS consumers in a community residential setting with very close and structured supervision
+ Conduct program operations in accordance with the principles of normalization, positive approaches and sound ethical social work practices
Education:
+ A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent with two years transferable, practical experience in the human service field.
Skills:
+ Working with the ID population
+ Understanding human behavior
+ Effective written and verbal communication skills
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced client service-orientated environment demonstrating effective logical problem-solving skills.
+ Exceptional interpersonal skills
+ Ability to interact appropriately with clientele
+ Work effectively with co-workers as a team player
+ Basic computer skills
Requirements:
+ Valid driver's license and able to meet Volunteers of America standards
+ Must be able to pass criminal background clearance from the funding source.
