Residential Program Manager, Construction Installations

We are looking for a Residential Program Manager, Construction Installations to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies.  This role will report to the Director, Global Program Management and will be based in San Jose, CA.  This is a fully on-site, in office role. 

 

Prospective candidates must have a passion for creating and deploying disruptive, innovative technologies, and altering the way electricity is generated and distributed worldwide.  The Residential Program Manager will lead the new BE Home residential program, building out the strategy for site evaluation, client management and deployment of our new BE Home product.  The role commands high level visibility with high end residential customers, key vendors, and manages the efforts of multiple individual team members and other functional support roles.  This role is customer-facing and is key to providing an extraordinary experience for Bloom Energy customers.

The ideal candidate will have built a program from the ground up in residential solar or energy storage, managing niche specialty contractors and having the right customer facing approach to deal with high end residential home owners.  The candidate will work exclusively on the BE Home program and will will draw on their own experience to help define the company strategy for program deployment.  The candidate will be responsible for implementing said company strategy.

Role and Responsibilities:
Principal responsible and accountable for solid oxide fuel cell energy residential program from mid-stage development to commercial operation requiring direct and/or indirect management of the following:

Develop overall program delivery strategy and manage team members in locations throughout the U.S. to execute to the strategy.Program execution process optimized for cost, quality, and minimal customer disruption Program budget and schedule creation and executionSource and select external partners to execute turnkey design, procurement and construction of site specific requirements, including contract negotiation and fulfillment.Client management, including setting appropriate expectations, managing questions and concerns during project execution and implementing a successful turnover to the operations team that provides our clients with a high quality experienceEnsure exemplary safety and execution performance through specific metrics during site construction and commissioningDeliver presentations confidently to all project stakeholders25-35% travel

Skills and Experience:

At least 7 years of project management experience required; 2+ years of distributed energy solution experience in a residential application required. Candidate experience must include management of multiple, schedule constrained, capital projects with multiple contractors.Project management experience should include management of budgets, schedules, design contracts, and construction contracts.Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional teams of subject matter experts required.Extremely organized and can confidently communicate program status and risk mitigation strategies to Bloom Energy senior executive leadership with little notice.B.S. Engineering: Chemical, Civil, Electrical, and/or Mechanical Engineering strongly preferred though other technical degrees (Construction Mgmt, Architecture, etc.) will be considered.Scheduling software programs: Microsoft Project and/or P6Command of Microsoft Powerpoint and Excel. Advanced experience is strongly preferredExperience in a fast paced, dynamic and risk tolerant organization a plus. Candidate must demonstrate ability to adapt to changing environments to deliver on customer and business needs.

Salary Ranges:$170,600.00 - $245,400.00
