This role includes both administrative and programmatic responsibilities, contributing to a safe, supportive environment for clients. Minimum Qualifications: + Valid NYS RN license. + Valid NYS Driver’s License. + Background in behavioral health preferred. + Previous experience in Supervisory / Leadership role preferred. + Job Requirements: Key Responsibilities: + Program Compliance:Coordinate and document medical program compliance in line with Agency and OASAS policies, procedures, and regulations. + Medication Management:Complete and monitor medication administration records; manage med orders and coordinate pharmacy services. + Client Coordination:Assist with applicant referrals, screenings, admissions, and discharges; audit prior admissions and monitor daily flow sheets for nurses. + Community Resources:Maintain knowledge of community resources to coordinate or refer clients for a full range of medical services. + Scheduling & Coverage:Create nursing schedules, arrange medical and psychiatric provider appointments, and assist with coverage as needed. + Direct Care:Perform client blood draws, conduct assessments, med passes, and facilitate medical-related client groups. + Documentation:Ensure accurate and timely documentation for all medical appointments, outcomes, and client progress. + Crisis Management:Respond appropriately to crisis and emergency situations to ensure client safety, following up with proper documentation. + Training & Supervision:Provide supervision to nurses according to FLACRA policy; train new nurses on unit protocols. + Client Education:Provide programmatic oversight on medication management and medical issues, including client education. + Communication:Offer verbal updates on client/program/staff status at shift changes or as necessary. + Regulatory Compliance:Complete state-required medication destruction processes. + Continuous Improvement:Participate in agency meetings, in-service training, and quality improvement initiatives related to medical services. + Recruitment Support:Assist with the recruitment of nurses to maintain staffing needs. Additional Skills & Experience: + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Ability to work effectively with diverse groups, including staff, clients, and community providers. + Strong multitasking, problem-solving, and time-management abilities. + Crisis intervention and mobile nursing skills. + Comfort in both community and crisis services settings.
