**Residential Supervisor** **Job Details** **Job Location** WHCG - Milwaukee, WI **Position Type** Full Time **Travel Percentage** Up to 25% **Job Shift** Various **Description** **Job Purpose:** This is a supervisory position that is responsible for ensuring that people served receive services that promote the quality of life expressed through their self-direction, and in accordance with Whole Health Clinical Group’s (WHCG) philosophies and management policies, as well as local, state and federal regulations, including compliance with Department of Health Services (DHS) 83 licensure. **Essential Job Functions:** 1. Supervise staff according to commonly accepted management practices in compliance with DHS regulations. This includes providing training, support, and discipline, as necessary. 2. Residential Supervisor will be responsible for working any BHT shift in which we are unable to find alternative coverage. The Residential Supervisor will be requested to fulfill all BHT responsibilities during this shift coverage. Coverage includes first, second and third shifts seven days a week. 3. Track attendance and tardiness for all direct care staff. Keep reports based on this documentation. Residential Supervisor will be responsible for coaching and implementing corrective action plans. 4. Work with the benefits administrator regarding FMLA and Leave of Absences for direct care staff. 5. Oversee payroll activities including approving personal time off requested by BHT’s. 6. Evaluate shift duties to ensure compliance with DHS 83 regulations. Understands and adheres to established internal Community-Based Residential Facility (CBRF) policies and procedures and DHS 83 regulations. 7. Evaluate repairs and normal wear and tear replacements of furnishings and other household items. Ensure that all repairs/replacements are performed in a timely manner in coordination with property management. 8. Audit groceries and supplies according to pre-established budget. 9. Develop and update Client Treatment Plans, complete billing notes, collect month end results, chart filing. 10. Complete client assessments and provide input into the development of services, goals and objectives. 11. Coordinate client medication regimen with prescribers and pharmacy, implement medication changes, and oversee Medication Administration records at the CBRF. 12. Handle clients’ daily and weekly allowances and documents disbursement of funds. 13. Act as a liaison for all clients and their family, providers and Case Managers. 14. Attend and participate in staff meetings, in-service training seminars and conferences as required. 15. May have to provide Residential Supervisor coverage at another facility during times of Residential Supervisor vacancy or time off. 16. Perform other related duties as assigned. **Qualifications** **Required Technical Skills, Experience, Education, and Credentials:** 1. Bachelor’s Degree preferred or an Associate’s Degree in Human Services or five years of equivalent experience with working with adults with severe and persistent mental illness or five years of CBRF experience working with an at risk population. 2. Minimum of one year experience working with adults with severe and persistent mental illness. 3. Minimum of one year supervisory experience. 4. Must be familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel. 5. Professional workplace appearance and conduct; friendliness and courtesy to consumers, coworkers and vendors. 6. Must be familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel. 7. Professional workplace appearance and conduct; friendliness and courtesy to clients, coworkers and vendors. 8. Effectively communicates and develops good working relationships with co-workers. 9. Must be able to assist clients with activities of daily living, such as shopping, cleaning and cooking. 10. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English both orally and in writing. Ability to communicate in Spanish is desirable but not required. 11. Must complete CBRF training program as outlined by DHS 83 within two weeks of hire. 12. Must be able to use appliances such as stove, microwave, washer/dryer, etc. 13. Must be able to read the label on medicine bottles and understand the directions on the labels. 14. Must be able to clean up bloody/body fluid spills in accordance with OSHA and agency policies. 15. Must be able to evacuate residents in two minutes or less and assist residents in evacuation as dictated by DHS 83. 16. Motor vehicle record acceptable to program and/ or contractual requirements. 17. A valid Wisconsin driver's license, and automobile insurance with minimum limits of $50,000/$100,000 bodily injury and $10,000 property damage”. 18. Planning & Organizing: Coordinates ideas and resources to achieve goals. **Work Environment and Physical Requirements** _The work environment and physical demands described here are representative of those that an employee may experience or must do to successfully perform the essential functions of the job:_ 1. Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours and average at least 40 hours a week. Eight hours per month of weekend work is required and is coordinated with Residential Clinical Supervisor. 2. This position requires participation in reoccurring ‘on-call’ duties and flexibility in daily work schedule to adequately meet program needs, which may include evenings or weekends. 3. This position is occasionally responsible for the supervision and safety of consumers in both normal program settings as well as a variety of settings in the community. As such, this position must be able to observe consumer activities, detect areas of danger, distinguish when consumers who are non-communicative are in need of personal cares, and converse clearly with consumers and other people in the community on a frequent basis. 4. Ability to perform well in a fast-paced work environment. 5. On occasion must be able to push/pull/lift/move objects weighting at least 50 pounds. 6. This position may work in a variety of indoor and outdoor work environments which may include, various outdoor weather conditions, loud noises, and fluctuating temperatures and the occasional use of stairs. 7. Frequently works in an office setting where the use of such items as a multi-line phone, fax machine, personal computer and office printer etc. is required.
