GCU Traditional Campus - Phoenix, AZ:

Courses are in-person and on-campus for the Spring 2025 Semester (01/06/2025 - 04/27/2025)

Course: Resistance Training and Cardiovascular Fitness - Lab

This field and laboratory experience course introduces exercises that target specific muscle groups and systems of the body to show students how to design an effective exercise program. Students are introduced to effective coaching strategies, including progression, regression, coaching cues, and proper evaluation; these skills can then be applied to the professional development and delivery of an exercise session.

What You Will Do:

Facilitate classroom lecture and discussionsEngage students in learning course objectives and topicsAssess student performance and mentor success in the classroomProvide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University

What You Will Bring:

Preferred: Doctorate or Master’s in any Health or Exercise Science-related discipline, AND holding NSCA CSCS certificationMinimum: Master’s in any field with 18 graduate credit hours in Health or Exercise Science, AND holding NSCA CSCS certification
