Resort, Front Desk Manager

Compensation: $73,492 to $84,515 per year, plus bonus

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Be the face of MCR for new hires and team members; exemplify MCR’s values and set a great example by always demonstrating excellent guest service and professionalism. Coordinate and manage guest check-ins and check-outs, ensuring the accuracy of guest and billing information. Manage and supervise the Front Desk team, including training, scheduling, and performance management. Establish clear objectives and expectations for the Front Desk team to enhance guest experience. Maximize room revenue and occupancy by reviewing status daily. Monitor hotel ledgers to include, guest, advance deposits, and direct bills.    Operate and maintain front office computer systems, including software maintenance, report generation and analysis, and basic system configurations. Ensure smooth coordination between Front Desk, Housekeeping, and other departments for timely fulfillment of guest requests. Monitor VIP guest experiences and manage special requests. Prepare and distribute daily reports, including room status, occupancy, and revenue reports. Manage and maintain inventory of Front Desk supplies and amenities. Enforce compliance with all resort policies, security protocols, and safety measures. Review guest feedback, front office logbooks, and audit reports to identify service improvements. Foster a positive and safe work environment, addressing team concerns appropriately. Perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a Front Desk or Guest Services management role at a luxury resort or hotel required Minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience with strong team management and motivational skills required Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field a plus!   Tribal gaming experience a plus!

HOW YOU’LL BE SUCCESSFUL

Knowledge of hotel property management systems (PMS) and point of sale (POS) systems. Such as Infor HMS, Agilysys, Booking.com, etc. Knowledge of practices and procedures of the hospitality industry. Skilled in Microsoft Office and other related applications. Ability to lead and manage a team effectively. Ability to solve client issues in a friendly and timely fashion. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Read, write, and speak English fluently. Ability to remain positive and focused in a fast-paced environment. Ability to multitask and remain positive and focused in a fast-paced environment.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Availability – Ability to work 40+ hours per week, holidays, weekends, and nights to support a 24/7 operation. Physical – Ability to maneuver in all areas of casino, ascent/descent from stairs, frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching, and/or prolonged periods of time focusing on tasks. Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. May regularly need to lift/ move, push or pull up material or boxes necessary to the job function, with or without assistance. Environment – Exposure to environmental tobacco smoke (ETS) while working and traversing on the gaming floor.
