To exceed guest expectations and implement high quality recreation activities/ services and to provide a safe environment for our guests and associates in all areas of Social and Group Recreation.
Responsibilities Responsible for the financial aspects of the department including budgeting, forecasting and labor costs while increasing revenue, controlling expenses and executing payrollResponsible for training of all associates on the social recreation team Establish administrative rules and regulations, polices and procedure for the departmentHelp develop long range plans for the department by setting and meeting yearly and monthly goals and objectivesAttend staff department meetings communicating pertinent information to associates, managers and the directorOversee and operate all social and group recreation programs and assist in the maintenance and upkeep of recreation facilitiesContinually enhance crafts, family activities, camp, games and experience throughout out property. Create and implement new activities for all ages.Monitor recreation areas and restrooms to a ensure a clean and safe environmentImplement and coordinate cooperate group events with conference services and conference sales managersSell, create, set up, tear down and implement group functionsOversee all aspects of Group Recreation to include booking procedures, professionally representing the department and acting as the point person for the group, plan and coordinate agendas and activities for the group, attend planning meetingsSupervise and develop Recreation Supervisor, Attendants and InternsProvide exceptional guest service.Ensure Recreation facility is kept clean and properly maintained.Carry out duties as they relate to: scheduling, payroll, recruiting, training, financials, MOS, inventories, ordering, safety procedures and implementing Omni culture in Recreation Associates.Implementation and facilitation of Recreation activities, programs and events Qualifications Must be an energetic, active and creative individual able to speak in front of largegroups and comfortable working with young childrenMust work well under pressure and assure a safe environmentMust be able to maintain facilities to include cleaning of recreation areas, Information Desk, Pool Area, etc.Able to stoop, stand, push, pull, walk or stand for long periods of time, and able to lift 30-50Lbs frequently (60-100 occasionally)Degree in Recreation, Hospitality, or related field.At least 2 years experience in a supervisory position.Able to become certified in basic CPR and First Aid.Basic computer skills for payroll, ordering and other administrative work.Able to lift at least 50 pounds.Able to push/pull towels bins weighing up to 300 pounds.Okay to work in various weather conditions: extreme heat, cold, rain, sun, etc.Must be comfortable in and around pools.
