Location Description Hawks Cay Resort, an iconic destination resort in the Florida Keys, reopened in August 2018 following a $50 million renovation. A recipient of the prestigious AAA Four Diamond Award and a member of the Preferred Hotel Group Lifestyle Collection, this 60-acre, tropical destination boasts 177 guestrooms and 250 two • and three-bedroom villas, a full-service marina, six restaurants, saltwater lagoon, five swimming pools, kid and teen clubs and spa. Overview Job Summary: The Resort Director at Hawk's Cay Resort is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, guest services, and overall experience at our luxury resort. This leadership role demands a highly organized and customer-focused individual with the ability to manage diverse teams, maintain high standards of service, and drive profitability while ensuring a world-class guest experience. Key Responsibilities: Operational Leadership: Oversee the daily operations of the resort, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, recreation, and other departments. Ensure all operations run smoothly, efficiently, and align with the resort's standards of excellence. Guest Experience: Ensure that every guest has a memorable experience by maintaining the highest standards of service, addressing guest concerns promptly, and implementing new initiatives to enhance the guest experience. Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop department managers and their teams. Foster a positive work environment, encourage teamwork, and ensure that all staff are trained to deliver exceptional service. Financial Management: Develop and manage the resort's budget, including revenue forecasts, expense control, and profitability. Monitor financial performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement strategies to maximize revenue and control costs. Strategic Planning: Work with the General Manager and senior leadership to develop and implement long-term strategies for the resort. Focus on continuous improvement, innovation, and staying ahead of industry trends. Marketing and Sales Support: Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to develop promotional strategies, packages, and events that drive occupancy, guest engagement, and revenue. Health, Safety, and Compliance: Ensure the resort adheres to all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures. Promote a safe and secure environment for guests and staff. Community and Stakeholder Relations: Represent Hawk's Cay Resort within the local community, build positive relationships with stakeholders, and contribute to community initiatives. Qualifications Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in resort or hotel management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Experience in luxury hospitality is strongly preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Financial acumen with experience in budgeting and financial analysis. Problem-solving skills and the ability to make effective decisions under pressure. Knowledge of industry trends and a commitment to staying updated on best practices.
