The office plays a vital role in maintaining, securing, and making accessible sensitive information critical to the security of the United States. As a Resource Analyst, you will be responsible for a range of financial activities and providing strategic financial guidance to senior managers and staff. Complete Description As a Resource Analyst, you will perform a wide range of financial activities to ensure data integrity, compliance, and accuracy in financial reporting. You will analyze and interpret financial information, identify and resolve discrepancies and errors, and provide technical assistance to solve financial problems. Key responsibilities include: + Analyze and interpret financial information and policies to identify and resolve problems, discrepancies, and errors in financial data and systems. + Ensure data integrity and reporting accuracy, establish internal controls, and reengineer financial execution and budgetary processes. + Provide strategic and specific financial resource advice and guidance to senior managers on financial activities. + Serve as a lead technical resource in presenting budgetary briefings and providing technical supporting documentation to external entities. + Assist customers in interpreting budgetary and accounting procedures and policies, review financial transactions, and research and apply finance policies. + Prepare backup and research for debt collection, vendor payments, accounting operations, and statistical sampling programs. + Manage and access all budget formulation and execution activities, including planning, coordinating, and budget submissions. + Provide technical advice on strategic budget planning, program analysis, data integrity, and cost estimating. + Analyze financial information and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies. + Monitor finance systems, identify errors, and recommend corrective actions. + Perform financial monitoring activities, analyze expenditures, and adjust obligations and expenses within budgetary allotments. + Compile, analyze, and maintain tailored budget execution analysis reports. + Record operating guidance and incorporate Congressional marks and management decisions. Minimum Requirements + Basic knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board (FASAB), and Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB). + Intermediate knowledge of federal financial regulations, procedures, policies, and concepts. + Intermediate knowledge of business resource planning practices and budgeting procedures. + Proficiency in customer automated systems and the ability to understand data dependencies. + Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel, including creating and analyzing pivot tables. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Excellent customer service skills and ability to build working relationships. + Effective verbal and written communication skills. + Strong organizational skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities. Preferred Requirements + Experience in financial analysis, budget formulation, and execution. + Familiarity with federal law and regulations related to financial activities. + Knowledge of spend plan management and budgeting practices. + Experience with financial systems and reporting tools. + Advanced proficiency in Excel and data visualization. + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks. + Attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis. + Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. + Continuous learning mindset and willingness to stay updated on relevant financial practices.
