The Resource Center Coordinator assists with the daily operations of The 11 Day Power Play Cancer Resource Center and the Elevate Salon, as well as the supervision of volunteers for both locations; provides compassionate and professional support to patients and their caregivers; assists patients with wig fittings; conducts chemotherapy/radiation orientations; identifies, develops and updates patient education materials in the Resource Center; educates patients and family members on cancer information and supportive services, providing access to reliable internal and external resources; assists in the development and implementation of educational, grant-funded patient and caregiver programs.30.29
The starting hourly range is $23.67 - $30.29 .Qualifications:Required Education and Experience
1. Bachelor's degree in a health-related field, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Human Development, Education, Communications or a related field and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time experience in a health or education related field; or
2. Associate’s degree in a health-related field, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Human Development, Education, Communications or a related field and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time experience in a health or education related field.
NOTE: Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate should have oncology, patient education, patient/family, and customer service experience.
