Resource Coach, Behavioral Health & Addiction - DSRIP - - Bridgeton

MAJOR FUNCTION:

To be a working team member of the Behavioral Health & Addiction Resource Team (BART)and the Opioid Overdose Recovery Program (OORP). Participates as a member of a multi-disciplinary team providing assessment, care management and discharge planning as well as linking patients with appropriate treatment and resources. Educates patients, families and staff regarding mental health and substance use issues.  Clearly documents consultations and interventions according to policy. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience: 

Bachelor’s degree in health, psychology, counseling, social work, or other behavioral health profession required.  Master’s degree in behavioral health field preferred.   Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred. Two years required- Five years preferred experience working with behavioral health.  Experience working with legal and/or justice system preferred. Community based work preferred.   Resident of Bridgeton or surrounding area preferred

Certification/Licensure:

LSW or LAC preferred.   CADC preferred.  Crisis Prevention Institute certification (completed within 60 days of hire).  Valid NJ Driver’s license, proof of insurance and have a reliable means of transportation as described in Fleet Policy # A 291 required. Safe driving record. Physical Requirements:
