Position Summary
The Salvation Army is hiring a Resource Coalition Manager to lead "Pasadena’s Path Forward: A Coalition for Change," a transformative initiative funded by Kaiser Permanente. This role will strengthen the community safety net by building partnerships, service integration, and ensuring effective referrals for low-income individuals and families at risk of homelessness. The Manager will coordinate efforts among nonprofits, healthcare providers, and government agencies to address critical needs in housing, mental health, and food security.
Essential Functions
Coalition Development & Partnership Building
Establish and manage partnerships with housing agencies, mental health providers, nonprofits, and government entities. Serve as the key linkage for homeless clients, connecting them to social services and resources through collaboration with partner organizations. Represent The Salvation Army at community meetings and events.Program Coordination
Develop a referral system connecting clients to essential services like housing, healthcare, and food. Identify and address service gaps to enhance the resource network. Coordinate initial housing referrals for 100 individuals and families in Year One.Service Delivery Oversight
Collaborate with partners, including Union Station Homeless Services and Pasadena Mental Health Center, to expand access to housing and mental health services. Assist with food insecurity efforts.Data Collection & Reporting
Track and analyze program outcomes, including the number of individuals served and services delivered. Provide updates to leadership and funders, using data to refine processes.Community Engagement & Advocacy
Serve as a community liaison to advocate for systemic change. Promote awareness of the Coalition’s mission and impact.
PAY RATE: $31.25-$36.06/hr.
Working Conditions
Ability to walk, stand, bend squat climb, kneel and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis. Ability to be able to lift to 50lbs. Ability to grasp, push, and pull objects such as file cabinet drawers and reach overhead. Ability to operate computer, fax and telephone.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in social work, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field (master’s preferred). Minimum 5 years in program management, community partnerships, or social services. Proven success in coalition building and stakeholder engagement Experience in nonprofit, government, or healthcare sectors. Knowledge of Greater Pasadena’s community needs and resources. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
Strong leadership and organizational skills. Excellent communication and reporting abilities. Familiarity with issues related to housing, mental health, and food security. Driving test and clean MVR Check (if Applicable)
