Resource Coordinator - Pharmacy
Department/Unit: Pharmacy Work Shift: Day (United States of America) POSITION SUMMARY: The Pharmacy Resource Coordinator assists Pharmacy Management in the purchasing and inventory control of pharmaceuticals and supplies. The Coordinator fulfills requests for distribution of stock from the Pharmacy Storeroom. The Coordinator overseas the day to day operations of the Pharmacy Storeroom. The Coordinator reports to pharmacists, Pharmacy Supervisors and Directors. Work schedule and activities are determined by Supervisors and Directors. Salary Range: Min. $19.79/hr - Max $33.10/hr ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include but are not limited to the following: + Assist Pharmacy management and staff in purchasing medications and maintaining inventory of pharmaceuticals and supplies. + Distribute medication supplies to appropriate entities within AMC Maintain patient profiles and other records + Handle intra- and inter- departmental requisitions + Handle stock receipt/storage/ control + Package and label medications + Assist in preparation of medications + Deliver medications + Clean and maintain Pharmacy environment and equipment + Operate drug dispensing, packaging and preparation machinery / equipment + Answers and appropriately handles telephone calls to pharmacy + Completes appropriate documentation + Work with computer based applications + Train and orient staff + QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily as outlined in the attached annual competency assessment. College level courses preferred. EXPERIENCE: 5 year health care experience preferred. COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, correspondence, and memos. Able to compose simple correspondence using correct grammar and punctuation. Be able to communicate complex information verbally and in writing. Communicate cooperatively and effectively with patients, family members, employees and others, listen well, follow direction, and engage in interactive dialogues with others. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, compute rate, ratio, and percent.
