Resource Management and Scheduling Joint Terminal Attack Controller

Barbaricum is seeking a Resource Management and Scheduling JTAC Instructor (JTAC-I) to support government training programs across a variety of locations in the United States and overseas. This role will require frequent travel and fieldwork in dynamic environments. 

Responsibilities:

Provide direct support to government and military personnel on-site at Special Tactics Group (STG), Special Tactics Squadrons (STS), and other commands in the AFSOC organizational structure. Assist in training, organizing, and equipping Special Tactics (ST) and Combat Controller (CT) personnel to prepare them for deployment in all physical environments and mission scenarios. Deliver JTAC instruction and training in classroom, simulator, practical exercise, and field conditions. Manage JTAC program functions, including tracking, maintaining, reporting, briefing, and forecasting training requirements. Schedule and coordinate Close Air Support (CAS) training events for Special Operations Tactical Air Controller Course (SOTACC) and AFSOC HQ. Sustain the Avon Park Bombing Range (APBR) schedule by attending required scheduling meetings and integrating SOTACC operations with range and airspace management. Perform Range Safety Officer (RSO) duties for SOTACC training events, including briefing staff and students on range safety. Operate and maintain specialized equipment and vehicles, including Battlefield Air Operations (BAO) and JTAC equipment. Act as Opposing Force (OPFOR) during training scenarios and provide emergency response and reporting as required. Develop and maintain unit JTAC academics, folders, and training programs while delivering instruction in Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) environments. Frequently travel to austere locations with limited infrastructure to deliver mission outcomes.

 

Qualifications:

Active DoD Secret clearance required with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance (current Top Secret clearance preferred). Must have possessed JTAC-I and/or JTAC-SEE rating within the last four (4) years. Minimum of two (2) years of SOF background or experience augmenting SOF as a JTAC for at least two cumulative years during operational deployments. Experience scheduling CAS events and coordinating with military and contract air assets for training integration. Familiarity with SRMS and CAS procedures. Proficiency in operating and maintaining JTAC-related equipment, including communications and night vision devices. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard office automation tools. Certified Range Safety Officer (RSO) or willingness to obtain certification. Frequent travel required, including international deployments.
