Resource Manager

Summary:

The Resource Manager will play a critical role in managing and optimizing global resource allocation across the Business Unit (projects and managed service engagements for multiple practices). This position reports to the President of the Business Unit and will work closely with the senior leadership. This individual will be responsible for workforce planning, balancing project demands with available talent, and ensuring the right resources are deployed for maximum efficiency and delivery excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
Resource Planning and Allocation:
·    Develop and maintain a comprehensive resource management plan for current and upcoming projects.
·    Allocate resources based on skills, availability, and project requirements.
·    Collaborate with project managers to understand staffing needs and timelines.
Talent Optimization:
·    Analyze team skillsets to align resources with business objectives.
·    Identify skill gaps and work with HR and training teams to address development needs.
·    Maintain a pipeline of potential resources (internal and external) to ensure quick scalability.
Workforce Management:
·    Forecast future resource demands based on business pipeline and provide proactive staffing solutions.
·    Support global teams by coordinating across time zones and geographical regions.
Collaboration with Stakeholders:
·    Act as a liaison between delivery teams, HR/recruitment for smooth BU onboarding and transitions.
·    Work closely with department leads to ensure alignment between resource availability and project delivery schedules.
·    Address and resolve conflicts related to resource allocation.
Reporting and Analytics:
·    Track and report on key metrics such as resource utilization, availability, and productivity.
·    Provide data-driven insights to improve resource allocation strategies and overall efficiency.
·    Create dashboards to monitor workforce performance and project alignment.
Process Improvement:
·    Continuously review and refine resource management processes to enhance efficiency.

Education: 
·    Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Human Resources, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
 

Experience:
·    8+ years of experience in resource management, workforce planning, or a similar role within the IT industry.
·    Experience working in a global environment with distributed teams is highly desirable.
·    Proficiency in resource management tools 
·    Strong understanding of IT project lifecycles and delivery models 
·    Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
·    Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
·    Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
·    Strong understanding of IT skillsets and roles 
·    Global mindset with the ability to work effectively across cultures and time zones.
·    Proactive and detail-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.
·    ServiceNow experience with project and time tracking

·    Resource utilization rates.
·    Time-to-allocate resources to projects.
·    Bench time minimization.
·    Stakeholder satisfaction scores.
·    Accuracy of resource demand and supply forecasting.
