HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACTJob Summary:
Coordinates all new colleague orientation, training for new equipment, in services and competency demonstration in the Respiratory Care Department. Coordinates Respiratory Care student and nursing clinical experiences. Maintains all Respiratory Care Department educational records, including annual education, competency, 360 tenure evaluations, records of new equipment and in-service training. Serves as Continuing Quality Improvement (CQI) team facilitator; responsible for department staffing schedule and coordination of all potential colleague interviews. 40% of time will be spent in direct patient care. Approximately 20% of time as Lead Preceptor will be spent educating night and weekend staff.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLYRequired Education:
Minimum: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program. Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field. Behavioral Criteria: (HR may substitute directly related experience for required education on a 1:1 basis.)
Required Experience:
Minimum: 3 years experience as an RRT (or in a related managerial role) with experience in a neonatal and pediatric and adult patient population.
Required Certification/License/Registry:
Minimum: Must possess & maintain licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist with the State of Florida Department of Health and the National Board of Respiratory Care AND Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) AND Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification (ACLS) AND Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification (PALS) AND Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification (NRP).
