The Respiratory Care Practitioner is a clinical professional who services patients in their home/contracted facility by providing either clinical respiratory services or equipment management services on a scheduled visit/appointment or through on-call notification.

Responsibilities Include:

Completing day to day orders called into the Respiratory Therapy Department and follow up on visits for apnea monitor and or ventilator patients, in compliance with all regulatory agencies.Education of patient and caregivers regarding set up, use, maintenance and safety of respiratory therapy equipment in the home. Perform diagnostic testing on behalf of the physician. Communication with the patient's physician regarding clarification of orders or the patient's response to care may be required. Perform other duties as assigned.Team Member ideally will service Polk County and surrounding areas (Ocala, Gainesville, Plant City, Winter Haven, and Lakeland)

Education Required:

High School or EquivalentAssociates/Technical - Respiratory Therapy

Credentials Required:

NBRC Cert Respiratory TherapistResp Care Pract-Critical Care/ CRT CertificationDrivers LicenseReg Respiratory Therapist (preferred) BLS (Basic Life Support)

Credential equivalent experience:

CRT (Respiratory)Respiratory Care Practitioner - State of Florida Drivers License - State of Florida RRT (Preferred)
