Job Description

Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT)
PRN, Days: 6:30 am - 7 pm

As a Respiratory Therapist at East Georgia Regional Medical Center, you’ll join a team and be a part of a culture that's dedicated to providing top quality care to our patients. 

Requirements:

Graduate of an Approved Respiratory Therapy Program with a Diploma or AAS Degree.Must be a graduate of an AMA approved certified program and have certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care. Licensed by the state of Georgia as a Respiratory Care Professional.Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications. Previous hospital respiratory care is preferred.

About the Job:

Responsible for the administration of pharmacological, diagnostic, and therapeutic agents related to respiratory care procedures necessary to implement treatment, disease prevention, pulmonary rehabilitation, or diagnostic regime prescribed by a physician.The transcription and implementation of the written or verbal orders of a physician pertaining to the practice of respiratory care.Proper assessment, observation and monitoring of signs and symptoms, general behavior, and general physical response to respiratory care treatments and diagnostic testing.Recommend and implement appropriate respiratory care procedures and protocols based on observed abnormalities.Implement changes in treatment pursuant to the written or verbal orders of a physician. The ability to assess and initiate emergency procedures.Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery to achieve desired patient outcomes.Performs all other duties required.
