+ **Schedule:** 12 hour Rotating day and night shift, 7:00-7:30. Options:Tier 1: 3 full shifts per 6-week schedule, minimum of 1 weekend shift per 6-week schedule. Required to work 1 winter holiday shiftTier 2: 6 full shifts per 6-week schedule, minimum of 2 weekends shift per 6-week schedule. Required to work 2 holidays shift (1 in winter and 1 in summer)Tier 3: 10 full shifts per 6-week schedule, minimum of 3 weekends shift per 6-week schedule. Required to work 3 holidays shift (2 in winter and 1 in summer)

**Responsibilities**
Provide evaluation of and care for patient with respiratory insufficiencies.
+ Assess patient for appropriate type, and frequency of treatment, and develop a plan of care based on diagnosis.
+ Implement and monitor patient care plan and equipment.
+ Monitor, record and communicate patient condition.
+ Perform advanced respiratory care modalities.
+ Evaluate respiratory practice, administration of medication, and treatment based on patient outcome.
+ Educate the patient, and family about the health condition, and provide information about community support groups, and other available programs.
+ Respond to emergency resuscitation team code
**Requirements**
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
+ BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
+ Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Maryland Board of Physicians obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
+ Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
+ Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
+ Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
+ Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.
Education:
+ High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
