Responsibilities Provide respiratory treatment to residents requiring some form of breathing therapy, exercise, and or administering therapeutic medication on a regular basis Determine requirements for treatment, such as type, method and duration of therapy, precautions to be taken and medication dosages Ensure that quality respiratory services provided are in accordance with physician orders and facility policies and conducting routine mechanical safety checks of the ventilators Teach residents, family members and other facility employees of relevant respiratory policies and modalities as required Assist with orienting and educating of new Respiratory Therapists on the respiratory department Requirements Valid Maryland CRT or RRT licensure or certification required. Minimum one (1) year of clinical experience under medical direction. Must possess basic Cardiac Life Support certification. Must possess a working knowledge of respiratory equipment, including mechanical ventilators
