Respiratory Therapy (RRT or CRT)

Shift: Days, Full-Time, 36/hours

As a Respiratory Therapist at North Knoxville Medical Center, you’ll play a vital role in doing what you do best- providing quality care to our patients. Requirements:

Requires an associate's degree and a credential of Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)May be expected to maintain a CPR certificationFamiliar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field

Assists in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with pulmonary disordersCollects and analyzes sputum, blood, and breath specimens to determine levels of oxygen, carbon dioxide, and other gasesMeasure the lung capacity of a patient to determine if there is impaired functionRelies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
