Respiratory Therapist (Allied)

Our Client, a Healthcare company, is looking for a Respiratory Therapist (Allied) for their Concord, MA location. Responsibilities:
+ Reporting to the Director of Cardio/Pulmonary/Neurology/Sleep Disorders, provides a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care services, for in patient and out patients of all ages.
+ Performs respiratory care procedures in accordance with established departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
+ Evaluates, treats, and re-assesses patients of all ages, following physician’s order.
+ Functions independently and also assists Physicians and Nursing in the determination and application of therapeutic modalities.
+ Assists in the orientation and training of respiratory and nursing personnel.
+ Participates in Code Team and Rapid Response Team.
+ Provides patient and family education.
+ Participates in CQI initiatives.
+ Participates in departmental education activities.
+ Transports patients.
+ Assists the Director with special projects, equipment and stock inventory control.
+ Maintains and supports patient’s rights to care, privacy and respect.
+ Other duties as assigned from time to time.
Requirements:
+ High school graduate or equivalent required.
+ Graduate of a Respiratory Therapy (RT) program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) required.
+ Previous RT experience strongly preferred.
+ Previous patient care experience preferred.
+ Appropriate clinical rotations during the RT program are considered as satisfactory experience.
+ Must have current licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Respiratory Therapist.
+ RRT or CRT from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) required.
+ BLS healthcare provider required.
+ NRP certification required
