Responsibilities
We are seeking a Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) (PRN), also referred to as our Respiratory Care Practitioner I (RCP I) at Providence Medical Center a member of Prime Healthcare Kansas City, KS. The Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) is someone who carries out respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as directed by the medical and cardiopulmonary directors, based on physician orders. The CRT focus on assessing, planning, implementing, and documenting care while considering the specific needs of patients based on age and population, in the absence of a supervisor. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PRN.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
will provide treatments such as inhalation therapies, oxygen therapy, and aerosol medications to help patients breathe more easilyconduct tests like pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis to assess lung capacity and gas exchange in patientsset up, monitor, and adjust ventilators and other life-supporting equipment for patients who cannot breathe independentlymay be part of a rapid response team in emergencies, which you will provide airway management, perform intubations, and resuscitate patients in critical situationsassess patients' respiratory status, monitor their progress, and make adjustments to treatment plans as neededensure that all respiratory equipment is properly cleaned, sterilized, and maintained to prevent infections and ensure patient safetywe need someone who wants to work some hours and has a flexible schedule! QualificationsEducation and Work Experience
State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License, requiredCurrent BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current2 years experience as a RCP, preferredACLS certificate within 60 days of hire and maintain current
