Respiratory Therapist (RCP) - Nights - Encinitas

This is a full-time, benefitted 12 hour Night shift position (6:00pm-6:30am) with 72 hours per 2 week pay period. It includes rotating weekends every other weekend. It is located at Scripps Memorial Encinitas.

The ideal candidate has a thirst for knowledge and is eager to grow within the Scripps Health family.The Respiratory Therapist, in collaboration with other caregivers:Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates actions for respiratory carePerforms all technical diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to respiratory care and other core responsibilities necessary to maintain the flow of patient care and comfort in the unitResponds to critical situationsUtilizes computer systems in performing position dutiesAdheres to Hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Participates in Quality Control, preventative maintenance, and performance improvement activities.

Current California RCP licenseCurrent American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certificationExcellent interpersonal skills. Enjoys working with the public.Must be able to speak, read, and follow instructions in English.Technically competent in the department skills inventory. Computer literate.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prefer one or more years acute care experience.Graduate of one or two year AMA School of Respiratory Care preferred.NICU level 2 experience strongly preferred
