Your job is more than a job.
One-of-a-kind care comes from one-of-a-kind people. As a respiratory therapist, you understand that you may be the lifeline for patients struggling to breathe. It takes tireless dedication that goes beyond nebulizers and ventilators. Cardiopulmonary disorders are life-challenging and as a respiratory therapist and a human being, your skillset determines arterial puncture or cannulation, artificial airway types and sizes, initial ventilatory settings for mechanical ventilation, ventilator changes based on established parameters and patient assignments to staff based on skills inventory. That’s no small task.
There’s no feeling like the feeling of “I can’t breathe.” You wear your compassion on your sleeve every time you hear those words from a child suffering with asthma to an elderly patient with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. It’s why you do what you do. And that’s what we love about you.
Your experiences, knowledge, skills, your empathy, compassion, personality, all of it adds up to you. And we’re excited to get to know you and find out what you’ll bring to this critical respiratory therapist role.
