Maintains appropriate computer records of services provided. Responsibilities PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES(*Essential Functions)


Administers oxygen therapy as ordered.
Administers physician prescribed respiratory treatments to patients within their individual registration to practice, including intermittent positive pressure breathing (IPPB), nebulizers, metered dose inhalers, and chest physiotherapy.
Operates and maintains non-invasive monitoring systems as ordered, including pulse oximeters, transcutaneous monitors, and oxygen analyzers.
Performs deep endotracheal and nasotracheal suction and tracheostomy care per procedure.
Performs patient assessments for response to therapy.
Sets-up, attaches, operates and manages mechanical ventilators.
Qualifications

JOB SPECIFICATIONS (Minimum Requirements)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Knowledge of respiratory care therapeutics and oxygen therapy and all related equipment.Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.Must demonstrate high level of discretion, integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism in activities.Ability to present in pleasant professional manner for effective communications.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.


EDUCATION

High School Diploma/GED Equivalent Required

EXPERIENCE

1year Respiratory Therapy Preferred

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION

Licensed Registered Respiratory TherapistBLS Certification
