As a RESPIRATORY THERAPIST with Aspirus Ironwood Hospital, you provide respiratory and cardiopulmonary monitoring diagnostics and therapy services to patients of all ages in a variety of care environments.
Experience/Qualifications
Knowledge of respiratory care standards and protocols normally acquired through graduation from an AMA approved school of Respiratory Care with an Associate Degree.A Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Care or Biological Sciences beneficial.One year of critical care experience and experience in pulmonary function or cardiopulmonary lab beneficial.
Licensure
Active Michigan Respiratory Care Practitioner license required. RRT or CRTRegistered RRT by the National Board of Respiratory Care, or registry eligible and obtained within one year of hire.Current BLS and ACLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire. Aspirus Ironwood Hospital includes a 25-bed critical access hospital, multi-specialty clinic, satellite clinic in Wisconsin, surgical clinic, walk-in clinic and a home health agency. Ironwood’s service area covers approximately 30,000 people. The hospital has a 4 bed ICU, 3 bed OB unit, and 4 surgical units. The emergency department is staffed 24/7 with ER physicians, with approximately 12,000 visits annually. The hospital's inpatient census is 10 patients per day. The outpatient clinic has over 50,000 visits annually.
