Location: AdventHealth Waterman – 1000 Waterman Way, Tavares, FL 32117

The role you’ll contribute:

Reports directly to the Director of Heart Center and is responsible for the operational management of the department. The position will provide input into the development of policies and procedures, ensures all activities comply with hospital and outside regulatory agency standards, and monitors supply levels, equipment maintenance and budget levels. Insures proper workflow and departmental productivity, adjusting staffing levels as required.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

· Oversees the day-to-day departmental operational and clinical activities.

· Supervises staffs and gives technical direction, delegation of staff responsibilities.

· Interprets and directs the implementation of respiratory programs, policies and procedures and assumes the responsibility for ensuring that the programs meet hospitals accreditation standards.

· Hires, mentors, reviews, and counsels non-management employees.

· Directs the orientation of new employees, as well as oversees the training for new employees as needed.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

· Bachelor’ Degree in related field required.

· Current State of Florida license as a Respiratory Therapist.

· Minimum three to five years of previous management experience in Respiratory Care.

· Adult, Pediatric, and Newborn experience preferred.

· BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required at the time of hire.
