Responsible for ensuring safety within the Zarate production site in Argentina, as well as leading the environmental programs and processes in the site.


Responsibilities

Leadership and Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, regional, and corporate EHS regulations and standards. Provide leadership in fostering a culture of safety and environmental stewardship at the Zárate site. EHS Program Management: Implement, monitor, and improve EHS programs and systems, including risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective action tracking. Process Safety Management: Lead efforts to enhance process hazard analysis and manage safety-critical processes. Collaborate with site leadership to address and mitigate risks. Audit and Preparedness: Prepare the site for internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to all regulatory and corporate requirements. Oversee crisis management training and readiness. Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary EHS point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, local communities, and corporate leadership. Training and Development: Develop and deliver EHS training programs for site personnel to promote awareness and adherence to safety standards.

Ensuring timely implementation of corrective actions from audits and inspections. 

Balancing corporate EHS initiatives with site-specific operational needs. 

Leading cultural change to enhance safety ownership across all levels. 

Managing complex regulatory requirements and adapting to changing legislation. 

Coordinating effective communication between site and regional teams. 


 

Requirements

University Degree in Chemistry or Engineering. Safety and Health Engineer with professional license valid in Buenos Aires Province and Buenos Aires City (CABA) Minimum 3 years of experience required being responsible of Safety & Environment in a chemical, pharma or related industry/site. Experience in chemical, petrochemical or pharmaceutical industry is valued. Advanced English level (B2 or higher). Strong computer skills (MS Office). Problem-solving and decision-making abilities, excellent communication skills and teamwork capabilities. Proactive communication and engagement with cross-functional teams. High attention to detail in regulatory compliance and process safety. Ability to lead and inspire teams toward a shared vision of safety and environmental responsibility. Flexibility and adaptability to evolving challenges and priorities.
