We believe that inclusion helps us thrive and grow at United across our collaborative Finance teams consisting of Financial Planning & Analysis, Internal Audit, Treasury, Global Procurement, Controllership, Investor Relations and more. These teams provide the financial fuel that keeps our operation running from providing detailed analyses of financial planning, performance, and forecasts to managing our investments and financial strategies. Our Finance team plays an integral role in making our airline profitable and successful by meeting our financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible Sourcing Manager develops, leads, monitors and promotes responsible sourcing practices. This includes implementing end to end processes to promote responsible sourcing practices, build metrics to Inform and support responsible supplier selection and procurement decisions, and support change management efforts to implement standard processes. This position reports into the Senior Manager of Business Diversity Integration

Strategy Development: Partner with leadership to develop and implement a responsible sourcing strategy aligned with United's values and business objectivesFind opportunities and set goals to improve supplier compliance with ethical sourcing standardsSupplier Engagement: Assess and monitor suppliers' practices related to labor rights, environmental impact, and ethical sourcingBuild and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to influence positive change and drive continuous improvementCompliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policiesPrepare regular reports and presentations on responsible sourcing initiatives and performance metrics for internal and external partnersTraining and Awareness: Develop training programs and educational materials on responsible sourcing practices for internal teams and suppliersRaise awareness and promote a culture of ethical sourcing throughout the organizationCollaboration and Advocacy: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, legal, and sustainability to integrate responsible sourcing into procurement processesRepresent the company in industry forums and initiatives related to responsible sourcing and sustainabilityTravel for this role is up to 20%

QualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications): Bachelor's degree or related experience4+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, ethical sourcing and contract managementExperience in procurement, supply chain including ethical sourcingExperience briefing and working with executive leaders Ability to collaborate and influenceMaturity to inspire change in a complex environmentStrong communication skills, and the ability to be a persuasive advocateProcess improvement skillsMust be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorshipSuccessful completion of interview required to meet job qualificationReliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the positionWhat will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):Experience in Responsible Sourcing Programs including Human Rights, Labor Laws, scope 3 reporting and supplier Diversity2-3 years of partner and project managementExperience in program development and execution
