Overview
Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the Director of Operations is critical to the success of Burger King. As a Director of Operations, you are a recognized leader helping to uphold the values and standards that make our brand profitable and successful. Your goal will be to help direct and influence the operation of the restaurants, develop a Team of leaders, attain sales, and beat profit objectives. You will also ensure the highest standards of food quality, service, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation by using effective tools and communication to help supervise Multi-Unit District Managers and Team Members within your assigned area.
Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Ensure all assigned Districts and Restaurants are compliant with Brand standards while leading a team of Multi-Unit District Managers and Team Members to drive engagement and retention.Accountable for driving sales and profitability in every store within the assigned territory, and the performance of all staff to deliver operational targets and goals.Provide a productive workplace where teams adhere to our mission and objectives by promoting our organization’s values and shaping a positive culture every day.Identify and diagnose ongoing operational gaps in assigned restaurants and develop action plans to resolve discrepancies.Support positive Guest Satisfaction through close interaction with restaurant teams to ensure that Brand resources are used, and action plans are followed.Responsible for delivering best-in-class experience in all areas of customer interactions, including order accuracy, food quality and friendliness.Ensure excellent customer service and operational goals are consistently above standard by coaching, training and developing leaders in the organization to drive effective hiring strategies, train Brand systems, and retain top talent.Accountable for recruiting, hiring, coaching, developing and assessing the operations team.Ensure appropriate cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and staffing standards are maintained.Review, analyze, and track key financial and operational data on a daily basis to derive and report meaningful business insights.Develop executive presentations and present key trends and results through store metrics, P&L reviews, and operational reports.Ensure that scheduling and labor standards are followed in all restaurants.Provide leadership and mentorship to Multi-Unit District Managers to achieve operational and financial goals.Additional Requirements
Minimum four (4) years of senior-level management experience in QSR, specifically overseeing 25+ restaurants.Experienced in ensuring operational effectiveness for multi-unit organizationsPrevious Drive-thru and customer service leadership trainingPassion for providing excellent guest satisfaction, service speed, and product quality.Ability to read financial statements with strong analytical skillsAbility to effectively and professionally provide performance feedback and guidance to Multi-Unit District ManagersAbility to plan and conduct effective meetingsExperience in working independently with a result orientationStrong oral and written communication skills including public speakingStrong organizational skillsReliable Transportation and ability to drive throughout an assigned territoryFood Safety CertificationNote: Experience in Burger King or other prominent QSR chains (e.g., McDonald's, Hardees, Arby's) is highly preferred.
