Restaurant Experience Assistant Manager, Equipment

The Assistant Manager of Operations Services Equipment Innovation plays a crucial role in testing, implementing, and supporting new equipment and smallwares across our restaurant network. In this role, you will assist in testing new equipment, address field questions and issues, and work cross-functionally with internal teams and external vendors to support product and process rollouts. Your work will help drive efficiency, enhance the guest experience, and improve overall operational performance. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Equipment Testing & Evaluation: Assist in testing new equipment and smallwares to ensure they meet operational standards and improve overall restaurant performance. 

Field Support: Provide ongoing support to field operations teams by answering questions, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring equipment and smallware usage aligns with operational goals. 

Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams such as supply chain, operations, and training, as well as external vendors, to ensure smooth implementation and rollout of new equipment and processes. 

Operational Efficiency: Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvements and equipment innovations that increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the overall restaurant experience. 

Product & Process Rollout: Support the launch and integration of new products and equipment into the field by collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution. 

Training Support: Provide training and guidance to restaurant teams on the proper use and maintenance of new equipment, ensuring consistency in operations and high-quality service delivery. 

Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with industry trends and innovations, bringing fresh ideas to the table for equipment and process improvements. 

 

Qualifications  

2+ years of experience in restaurant operations, equipment support, or a related field. 

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent field experience 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve equipment issues quickly. Proven ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and vendors. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with field teams and stakeholders. Self-motivated with a focus on innovation and continuous operational improvement. Knowledge of restaurant equipment, smallwares, and operational processes preferred. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; restaurant industry experience preferred. Strong project management and time management skills. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. Proficient in SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Excel. Experience working independently and collaboratively in a team environment. 

Travel
