Loews Hotels & Co has ventured into Kansas City, MO with the new Loews Kansas City Hotel. The 800-room hotel features 60,000 square feet of meeting & function space, with a sky bridge connecting to the 800,000 square foot Kansas City Convention Center. The hotel marks the first hotel catering to groups & meetings to open in more than 20 years in Kansas City. Two signature restaurants, a Grab & Go bakery and a rooftop lounge will round out this all glass, 24 story hotel, which stands out on the city’s skyline. Loews Kansas City is located at the cornerstone of an already vibrant and continuously growing downtown Kansas City.

Job Specific

Supervises restaurant activities in absence of ManagerControls Reservation Book, accepts reservations and enters them accurately into the recordMaintains guest history files and uses information to enhance repeat guests experienceAssigns work stations and pre-meal side work, inspects dining room and service areas to ensure completion of all tasks prior to start of meal periodMaintains guest records to; record arrival, cover count, seat assignment, turnover, availabilityInspects menus to ensure cleanliness and acceptabilityGreets guests in a polite professional mannerDetermines guest needs, verifies table availability, assigns appropriate table for seatingGuides guests to appropriate tableAssists guests with seating, and presents menuEnsures removal of unnecessary place settings at occupied tablesNotifies server of guest seating, and communicates any special needs or requestsInspects dining room appearance constantly, assigns correction of deficiencies to appropriate team memberMonitors dining room activity, assists Servers and Assistants as needed to ensure performance to standardAssigns post meal side work, inspects dining room and service areas to ensure completion of all tasksOther duties as assigned
