Job DescriptionThe Omni Oklahoma City Hotel is looking for a part time Restaurant in Room Food Runner. This role will take in-room dining orders or co-ordinate with order taking agent, prepare and execute the delivery of food and beverage items, create a unique dining experience in a private setting by showcasing and explaining the order in the room and set the table when required, remove used trays from hotel floors and guest rooms when required, deliver F&B amenities to guest rooms and keep the Restaurant in Room work area well-stocked, cleaned and organized.
Responsibilities Acknowledge and greet all guests, anticipate guest needs and respond to guest inquiries or requests.Must have full knowledge of food and beverage offerings. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of work areas and equipment.Keep all supplies fresh and well-stocked.Prepare RIR trays with appropriate mis en place according to the order.Co-ordinate with order taking agent and Culinary staff regarding any special requests or dietary restrictions.Co-ordinate, prepare and deliver all food and beverage amenities to guest rooms.Engage guests following Omni standards and Power of Engagement training.Deliver and serve the order following specific departmental standards and steps of service.Contribute to a professional workplace that maximized employee moral, productivity and effectiveness. Works well with a diverse FOH and BOH staff.Perform additional responsibilities although not detailed, as requested by a manager.Ensure responsible service of alcohol by following all legal requirements including carding and consumption.Follow daily checklists and side work (re-stocking and cleaning).Comply with direction and instruction from the management team. Qualifications Able to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet for up to eight hours a day.Ability to bend and reach above head holding up to 10 pounds frequentlyMinimum 1year serving experience, high volume & casual environment preferred.Must have full knowledge of menus, liquor, beer, cocktails and any other pertinent information.Must have strong communication skills speaking with enthusiasm.Must be at least 18 years of age.Must have problem solving abilities, be self motivated and organized.Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.Must have an unexpired food handlers and state alcohol certification.Must be able to work under minimal or moderate supervision.Must be flexible with schedules including weekends and holidays.Obtain State Required Liquor License and training certificate.Omni Hotels & Resorts is an equal opportunity employer - vets/disability.
