Overview Do you have Restaurant experience and have a collaborative and leadership mindset? If so, these competencies are key to our open position of Restaurant Manager. The Restaurant Manager is a proactive solution seeker, they lead by example and continuously encourage and engage their team members, while collaborating cross departmentally. They will provide the strategic leadership required to achieve the fiduciary and quality goals for the restaurant operations. The Manager will ensure the effective and efficient operation of all facets of restaurant operations, while improving on the current model and is responsible for managing in a manner consistent with the mission, operating philosophy, standards, and values of Pyramid Hospitality. Job Description Position Description & Job Responsibilities Provide a memorable, pleasant and efficient atmosphere for staff and guests at our Marsh Tavern, Chop House, Dormy Grill and In Room Dining offerings. Ensure that implementation and maintenance of standards of food, beverage and service quality are commensurate with a first-class operation.. Monitor and critique food quality and service levels. Hire and train staff, tracking standards of service and productivity for food & beverage associates. Create a comfortable atmosphere to encourage committed and loyal associates. Forecast and schedule staff according to occupancy levels and business needs. Daily tracking of payroll and revenue. Coach and counsel staff, as well as holding monthly meetings for staff. Ensure physical atmosphere and cleanliness of restaurant, including inspecting tabletops, and side-stations. Monitor all current inventories and assist in end of the month inventories. Responsible for ordering of new product. Attend and when applicable, lead food and beverage meetings as required. Responsible for timely performance feedback and evaluations of staff. Communicate and collaborate with Director of Food and Beverage, Director Sales & Marketing, Executive Chef, Banquet Manager, and General Manager, on all upcoming events, promotions, new products, etc. Handle guest complaints in a professional and efficient manner. Learn and apply coding of Food and Beverage invoices in a timely manner. Responsible of tracking all restaurant tips each day and for each pay period. Oversee and submit restaurant staff time and attendance in accordance with Payroll parameters. Formal Education and Job Related Requirements High school diploma or equivalent experience required. Five years Qualifications A minimum of 2 years experience in a hotel, resort, or restaurant Managerial capacity required. Experience leading multi-venue restaurant operations; multi revenue streams strongly preferred. Experience with establishing, training, and re-evaluating service standards and standards of excellence within FOH positions strongly preferred. Experience leading a diverse workforce, including local, seasonal and international associates strongly preferred.
