Restaurant Manager
Overview We are looking for a Restaurant Manager. The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for the coordination of all restaurants, bar, snack bar, espresso stands and catering operations including dining room service, setup and service of catering events, and catering sales. Pay and Benefits: Seasonal Employees are eligible for the Seasonal Employee Layoff Bonus Plan. The plan is designed to provide an effective means to motivate and compensate eligible seasonal employees during the term of their assignment. Starting Rate: $25.00 - DOE Responsibilities ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Assist with the management Goldbelt’s Tramway’s restaurant and food and beverage operations and services, striving to meet the establishment’s objectives of profitability, professional, efficient and top-quality service Assist with managing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner periods as directed by the Manager Responsible for implementing workflow procedures based on direction from the company’s General Manager Complete scheduled inventories and ensure proper administration processes are followed. Input weekly invoices and pricing updates to ensure correct food and beverage costs. Responsible for Front of house scheduling and ensure that they meet budgeted labor target. Responsible for ensuring the service team is properly trained to deliver exceptional service and to create memorable moments for guest. This could include interactive dining, table-side service, promoting specialty or signature items, etc. Collaborate with the Food and Beverage team to create and implement new ideas Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local food sanitation and safety regulations. Be knowledgeable about the most updated laws and guidelines and communicate this information to the staff Assist in selecting and developing a qualified staff of service excellence employees to understand the relationships between value, guest service and satisfaction and guest retention/attrition Staff, train, retain and develop team members through ongoing feedback and coaching, the establishment of performance expectations and by conducting performance reviews on a regular basis Ensure proper security procedures are in place to protect team members’, guests’ and Company assets Respond to customer trends, needs, issues, comments and problems to ensure a quality experience and enhance future sales prospects Perform any other job-related duties as assigned Qualifications NECESSARY SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Passionate about food & beverage Knowledge of food & beverage operations, a strong leader and a proven track record in guest and team member engagement Thorough knowledge of the practices and techniques of restaurant cooking, food presentation and storage, including seafood handling; all kitchen equipment and appliances; and sanitary food requirements/codes Ability to make decisions based on established policy and procedures Ability to immediately identify operational and service problems and initiate resolutions, and handle all complaints quickly and efficiently, in the guests’ best interests Excellent customer service/guest relations, communications, and interpersonal skills Skill in operating personal computer utilizing a variety of computer software. Strong organizational skills: ability to work productively, skillfully and under pressure in a fast-paced environment Skill in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with other employees MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (education, experience, skills) High school diploma or GED Minimum three (3) or more years experience related field in the food & beverage, retail or hospitality fields Ability to obtain an Alaska Techniques in Alcohol Management (TAMS) card. Ability to successfully obtain and maintain Food Handlers Manager certification within the first 30 days Ability to successfully pass a background check PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Associate’s Degree Ability to lead staff presentations and training forums STAR Service Certification, STAR Trainer Certification, and CPR Certification preferred Working knowledge of Point of Sales Systems, cash collection, bookkeeping procedures, labor laws, union contract language, liquor laws, purchasing requirements; customer and product forecasting Ability to create staff prevention trainings Ability to organize and lead meetings
