Restaurant Manager - Hyatt Place Kuala Lumpur Bukit Jalil

You will be responsible to assist with the efficient running of the department in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting employee, guest and owner expectations. The Restaurant Manager is responsible to assist the FB Manager in managing the assigned outlet as a successful independent profit centre, in line with the outlet’s operating concept and Hyatt International standards, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction while operating within budget, helping to ensure the financial success of the outlet. The role is to generate revenue and profit for the restaurant through increasing customers via marketing, activities and promotions. The position leads the service associates to ensure restaurant service is consistent with the Hyatt brand which will in turn drive preference. As a leader you will show initiative and the ability to execute ideas and actions. Customer Service

Ensures the delivery of brand promise and provides exceptional guest service at all times by engaging with guests upon arrival and working with the guest throughout their stay.Assists with Host duties and operational needs in all areasHandles all guest inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to make sure problems are resolved satisfactorily.Ensure that Guest Satisfaction Survey (HySat) score is achieved or exceeds the corporate target.

Operational

Direct and supervise all aspects of restaurant operations, including but not limited to, dining room management, food preparation, service standards, and cleanliness.Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure efficiency and consistency in service delivery.Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with procurement teams to ensure adequate supply of food and beverages.Supervises the Hosts of the hotel.Ensures that minimum brand standards have been implemented.Trains and coaches gallery host to carry out duties with brand standards.Works closely with the Hotel Manager and other associates in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests.Works in a supportive and flexible manner with other departments, in a spirit of “We work through Teams”.Maintains par stocks of all equipment and guest supplies as required.Warm welcome to all guests to Hyatt PlaceSeats, takes orders and serves food and beverage to guest according to the established sequence and proceduresEnsures the Front of House areas are well maintained and clean at all times.Clears and resets counters or tables at the end of each course.Fully conversant with all aspects of the Food and Beverage Computer Systems.Computes bill and accepts paymentPerforms the function of cashier as required.Verifies cash received and ensure the genuine money that has been collected.Verifies all credit cards presented by guest to ensure validity of the card.Strictly adheres to all policies and procedures issued by the Finance with regard to cashiering and cash handling.Have a thorough knowledge and understanding of all food and beverage items on the menu and have the ability to recommend Food and Beverage promotion and up sell alternatives.Conducts property tours for new hires and clients as necessary to assist the Sales department.Oversees group reservations to ensure that they are pre-assigned and pre-keyed.Walks through of public areas and kitchen with follow up report/checklist.Responsible for overseeing meeting room set up/tear down for internal and external clients.Responsible to make sure all equipment are working properly.Responds to the comments from the consumer and ensures that the relevant changes are implemented.Checks incoming food products and ensures that all food is in accordance with order sheets and receiving recordsAssists and monitor closely the requirements of food quality and order the food items at the right timeBe familiar with all coffee, tea, beer, wine and distilled spirits knowledge and be capable to provide excellent beverage service to guests.Coordinates with Sales Department and follow up the food request and meeting room setup in BEO. makes sure Hosts to provide satisfied service to meeting planners and meeting guests.Control food costs through the proper management of food and drink inventories on daily basis and payroll expenses for both full time employees and part time casuals.

Ideally with a relevant degree, apprenticeship or diploma in Hospitality or restaurant management. Minimum 2 years work experience as Outlet / Restaurant Manager in a hotel or large restaurant with good standards.
