What You'll Do As the Restaurant and Recreation Operations Manager, you will ensure that our outdoor operations, including the beach, pool, cabanas, and restaurant, provide guests with exceptional service, top-tier food quality, and consistently high standards in a beautifully maintained environment. You’ll foster a culture where every staff member is thoroughly trained in service etiquette and product knowledge, while making every effort to exceed guest expectations. In this role, you'll take ownership of managing marketing and promotions for the restaurant and recreation areas, ensuring they attract and engage guests. You'll also oversee the cleaning and organization of the restaurant, cabanas, and recreational spaces, maintaining a pristine and inviting atmosphere for all visitors. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and manage operations for outdoor areas including the beach, pool, cabanas, and restaurant. Lead and coordinate activities and activations in outdoor spaces to create engaging guest experiences. Supervise the pool concierge team to ensure personalized, high-quality service. Take ownership of marketing and promotions for the restaurant and recreation areas to drive guest engagement and attendance. Oversee the cleaning and organization of the restaurant, cabanas, and recreation areas to ensure a well-maintained, welcoming environment. Partner with the culinary team to deliver outstanding food quality and presentation. Communicate effectively with staff at pre/post-shift meetings regarding updates on menus, beverages, promotions, and company policies. Drive staff development through comprehensive training programs for servers, bussers, hosts, bartenders, and pool concierges. Monitor daily operations, addressing any issues in service performance and execution. Lead employee performance management including training, mentorship, counseling, recognition, and conducting 90-day and annual performance evaluations. Address and resolve employee concerns through Kimpton's Open Door Policy. Ensure timely and accurate payroll preparation for the restaurant and pool concierge teams. Collaborate with the Director of Food and Beverage on daily operational matters, cash handling, SOPs, and payroll issues. Your leadership will be key to creating a dynamic, clean, and welcoming environment that encourages guests to return time and time again. What You Bring 2+ years of previous restaurant operations and/or supervisory experience preferably in an independent restaurant environment. Bachelor's Degree in hospitality, restaurant, or culinary management is preferred. Excellent communication and presentation skills. A passion for creating and personalizing guest experiences. Highly motivated and flexible, possessing the ability to take initiative. Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed. Food Handler Certification (if applicable).
