 Join our dynamic team at the East Peoria Embassy Suites and deliver exceptional dining experiences as a Restaurant Server! The Restaurant Server ensures guests have an outstanding restaurant experience by providing prompt, courteous, and professional service. You’ll be the face of our dining establishment, responsible for everything from greeting guests to ensuring seamless table service and a memorable visit.

Key Responsibilities 

Great guests and escort them to tables 

Provide menus while answering dining related questions and suggesting food and beverage items 

Take food and beverage orders, relay orders to kitchen, and serve food to guests 

Monitor tables to ensure all guests are served promptly 

Coordinate amenity delivery request in connection with the kitchen department 

Maintain stock and cleanliness of meal stations with necessary equipment including silverware, linen, and condiments 

Clear dirty table settings and prepare table for resetting 

Collect and process guest payments 

Total receipts at end of shift to verify sales and clear cash register 

Ensure tips are reported properly for tax processing 

Answer telephone calls and process phone orders 

Schedule dining reservations and arrange parties or special services 

Address guest complaints 

Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures including reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management 

Complete any and all other work as required to complete primary purpose of the position 

 

Required Qualifications 

Certifications: Obtain Food Safety and Alcohol Awareness certifications within 60 days of hire. 

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, squat, and stand for extended periods. 

Availability: Flexible to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays. 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

Experience: At least 6 months in customer service, restaurant, or cashier roles. 

Education: High school diploma or equivalent. 

Technology Skills: Experience with Micros operating system.
